Ministry Update APRIL 2025

Dear Friends In Christ,
March turned out to be a very busy month for me. We had a great turnout for the annual Small Group Retreat and Dodge Ball Tournament, and I was able to lead worship and speak for this event (along with Pastor Trey of Camp of Faith Church). I closed out the month of March with the annual Men’s Retreat, which turned out to be one of our better attended events in a long time. I appreciate Kemp Wynn driving up from Knoxville TN to teach from 1st Peter on the topic of “Finishing Well.” April got off to a great start with the first Men’s Bible Study at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD. We were hoping for around 10 to 12 but we ended with 25 and are expecting a few more at our next Men’s Gathering. We are meeting in the Fellowship Hall of the church for an 8 week series. We start at 6:30. Join us if you can. I am looking forward to playing guitar at two different local church for their Easter programs, #1 will be Memorial Heights Good Friday service and #2 will be both morning services at Calvary Bible Church. In May, we will hold our annual Family Retreat.
On the retirement from, I was able to sign a lease for an apartment in Ellerslie MD which is just 15 minutes away from the camp, and also 15 minutes away from the church I will start serving on June 1st. I will continue to lead the Men’s Ministry, but starting in June, I will take over the Wednesday Night Prayer and Bible Study service, which I think will be a lot of fun. I won’t be able to get the electric turned on at the new apartment until May 1st, so hope to move in sometime after that.
